Biovail Receives Canadian Approval for Ralivia(TM) for the Treatment of Moderately Severe Pain

Biovail Corporation (NYSE:BVF)(TSX:BVF) today announced that it has received an expanded indication for once-daily Ralivia(TM) -- to include the treatment of moderately severe pain in addition to moderate pain -- from the Therapeutic Products Directorate (TPD) in Canada. Ralivia(TM) is now indicated for the management of moderate to moderately severe pain in adults who require continuous treatment for several days or more.

Kent Exploration Receives Comfort Letters for 33 Saskatchewan Coal Disposition Permit Applications

Kent Exploration Inc (the \"Company\") (TSX VENTURE:KEX) reports it has received first-priority comfort letters from Saskatchewan Energy and Resources on 25,344 hectares of ground northwest of Hudson Bay. Two of the townships that comfort letters have been received for have rail access and are south of North American Gem\'s \"Adamas\" discovery and approximately 10 and 20 km respectively north-west of the town of Nipawin.

The Company has now received first priority comfort letters on 55 Coal Disposition Applications totaling 43,766 ha (approximately 108,818 acres), and has filed and fully paid for an additional 114 coal disposition applications that are pending with Saskatchewan Energy and Resources.

Second Wave Petroleum Announces Well Testing Results in Tableland Saskatchewan, a Significant Addition to Tableland Undeveloped Lands and an Upward Revision to the Company\'s 2008 Capex Budget

Tableland Completion and Testing Results

Second Wave\'s partners finished completion operations on the Tableland HZ 14-4 01-04-001-10W2 horizontal Sanish well in mid June and initiated testing operations shortly there after. The Dolomitic Sanish Sandstone is a fractured, low permeability, oil-saturated unit that lies conformably below the Lower Bakken Shale Member.

Crystallex Updates Shareholders on the Las Cristinas Project and a Letter From the Ministry of Environment

CRYSTALLEX INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION (TSX: KRY)(AMEX: KRY) wishes to advise its shareholders and stakeholders that it has received an official letter from the Venezuelan Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources (\"MinAmb\") in response to the report on modifications to the Las Cristinas project (\'report\") submitted to MinAmb and referred to in the Crystallex press release of August 14th 2008. The communication from the Vice-Minister of MinAmb, notified Crystallex that MinAmb has reviewed the Report submitted by Crystallex and finds that the proposals in the report are viable and conform to the Environmental and Social guidelines of the Venezuelan Government. The Ministry further advises that these findings must be taken into account with respect to the decision the government is to take regarding the Environmental Permit (\"Permit\") for the Las Cristinas project.
