H2O Innovation awarded $4.7 million in contracts for municipal and industrial water treatment projects - Company expands in British-Columbia

H2O Innovation Inc. ("H2O Innovation" or the "Company") announces today that it was recently awarded $4.7 million in new contracts. These new contracts bring H2O Innovation's order backlog for water treatment projects to $17.4 million as of June 5, 2013. The Company continue to expand its systems sales network by adding a new sales manager in British-Columbia.

Among the projects announced today, one of them will see H2O Innovation design, assemble, deliver and commission a membrane filtration system, combining the use of ultrafiltration (UF) and ultraviolet (UV), for a community in British-Columbia. Once installed later this fall, the system will produce 1.1 MGD (4,200 m3/d) of drinking water from a surface water source.

H2O Innovation is proud to announce, for the first time in its history, the hiring within its North American systems sales force of a sales manager based in British Columbia. Reporting to H2O Innovation's sales hub located in Calgary, Alberta, this sales manager will support the Company in developing its sales network and promoting its products & services in Western Canada.

"In British Columbia notably there are many small and medium-sized municipalities that still need improvement of their drinking water and wastewater plants. The territory also abounds with multiple natural resources related projects. The signature of this new contract in British Columbia and the addition of a new sales expert to our Western Canadian team are two major milestones that will definitely increase and improve our presence in this high-growth market", commented Frédéric Dugré, President and Chief Executive Officer of H2O Innovation.

An important institutional end-user in California has selected H2O Innovation for the design, fabrication, assembly and delivery of an integrated membrane filtration system combining UF and reverse osmosis (RO) units. The proposed system will consist of a 0.5 MGD (1,900 m3/d) UF unit and a 0.7 MGD (2,650 m3/d) RO unit, which will treat concentrate from an electrodialysis reversal (EDR) system to minimize waste volume for this zero-liquid-discharge (ZLD) facility. Working closely with the contractor the option was developed and proposed as value-engineered option to the client.

Another system will be delivered for Everglades City in Florida. This nanofiltration system will treat brackish water to produce 0.55 MGD (2,080 m3/d) of drinking water.

Additionally, the Company will supply a 2-train RO system for an industrial water reclamation project in Iowa. This system has an overall capacity of 0.35 MGD (1,325 m3/d). Lastly, the Company will also deliver a 2-train nanofiltration system for the production of drinking water in Québec.
