Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has released the first images of two exciting new models in its stylish Sportline van range - the Caddy Sportline and Caddy Maxi Sportline vans, set to go on sale next month.

They join the existing Volkwagen Transporter Sportline panel van (short and long wheelbase) and Transporter Sportline kombi to make a range of five models in Volkswagen's dynamic Sportline range. Each vehicle combines aggressive yet tasteful styling additions while retaining the versatility for which the vans are renowned to provide customers with a vehicle that's equally suited to commercial or leisure applications.

Local newspapers see new mobile opportunities

30 September 2008: Following the successful launch of its mobile websites in August, the Express & Star and Shropshire Star newspapers are planning to offer a range of new mobile content and services to their readers.

MNA Digital, the online arm of publishers Midland News Association, is working with mobile website specialist Wapple (http://wapple.net) to deliver a multimedia mix of news, information, sport and entertainment to complement print and online products. Amongst the ideas being explored are music and video downloads; job and property listings and alerts; and the development of branded mobile micro-sites for local football clubs and bands, for example. MNA Digital is also looking at introducing mobile advertising and sponsorship opportunities.

Co-chaired by MITRE and QinetiQ, the Group already boasts more than 30 member companies that participate, support or sell into the Defense Industry.

The Defense Interest Group will foster a collaborative approach to the development of Military Unique Features, which are best practices, standards and guidelines unique to the Defense Industry. The foundation for these standards is the TM Forum's Transformation Framework, which comprises documents, toolkits specifications, guidelines and test criteria for building a “lifecycle” approach to development of management systems.
