Intuit Exceeds Expectations for Second-Quarter Operating Income and Earnings Per Share

Intuit Inc. (Nasdaq:INTU) today announced second quarter GAAP operating income of $110 million, and GAAP diluted earnings per share of 26 cents, well above its expected range.

LoJack Corporation Reports Fourth Quarter and Year End 2008 Results; Provides 2009 Guidance

LoJack Corporation (Nasdaq: LOJN) reported today that revenue for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2008 declined 13% to $48.2 million, from $55.3 million in the same period of the prior year. Net income, calculated in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles ("GAAP"), for the fourth quarter was $0.2 million, or $0.01 per fully diluted share, compared to net income of $2.3 million, or $0.12 per fully diluted share for the fourth quarter in 2007. Adjusting for the items in Table 2, pro forma net income for the fourth quarter was $2.2 million or $0.12 per fully diluted share, compared to $4.0 million, or $0.21 per fully diluted share for the fourth quarter of 2007.
