News Release: Assante Records Another Month Of Strong Net Sales, Posting $126 Million In October

Assante Asset Management Ltd. (LMS TSX) today reported net sales in Canada of $126.8 million for October 2002 - substantially higher than its net sales of $71.2 million in the corresponding period last year. Year-to-date net sales for 2002 are now $1.3 billion compared to $560 million for the same period last year. As a percentage of the company's monthly average Canadian assets under management, October net sales were 2.2 per cent. The company's Canadian assets under management were $5.8 billion at October 31, 2002.
