Diamonds North Increases Kimberlite Tally to 25 on Amaruk

Bulk Sampling of Tuktu Underway

Diamonds North Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:DDN) announces that phase-I of the exploration program has begun and 3 new kimberlites have been discovered on the Company\'s 100% owned Amaruk property located in the Pelly Bay Diamond District of Nunavut. Tuktu-10 was discovered approximately 1 kilometre south of Tuktu-1 (the Company recently released 2850 diamonds in a 412 kilogram sample, see News Release NR08-17 May 27th, 2008) and Qavvik-7 and Qavvik-8 were discovered adjacent to Qavvik-5. Representative samples from the new kimberlites will be collected for diamond analysis.

Representative kimberlite samples will be obtained from the above
percussion drill cutting intervals for microdiamond analysis. Directions
and distances are approximate. Sizes of kimberlite occurrences have not
yet been determined.

Delineation Drilling of Tuktu-1, 2 &3

A vertical percussion drill hole, collared between the magnetic anomalies of Tuktu-1, 2 & 3 intersected 82 metres of kimberlite before terminating at a depth of 91 metres in kimberlite. This is a strong indication that the main Tuktu kimberlites form one continuous body. Interpretation of preliminary ground gravity geophysical data completed over the Tuktu-1, 2 & 3 kimberlites further supports that Tuktu-1 through 3 may form one larger kimberlite. Discovery hole diamond analysis for Tuktu-1, 2 & 3 kimberlites yielded very high diamond counts, as high as 6.9 diamonds per kilogram, advancing these kimberlites to the bulk sample stage.

Diamonds North has also begun taking larger samples with a core rig from the Tuktu cluster. To date, an estimated 2500 kilograms has been collected using HQ sized core. This larger sample is designed to test for the larger diamond potential of this cluster.

Diamonds North has discovered 25 kimberlites to date on the Amaruk property. Of the 22 analyzed kimberlites, more than 90% of the known kimberlites are diamondiferous and 50% exhibit diamond counts that require follow-up exploration. At least 500 compelling geophysical targets remain to be tested on the property.

Bruce Kienlen (P.Geol) and Graham Gill (P.Geo) are Diamonds North\'s qualified persons reviewing these projects. They are responsible for the design and conduct of the exploration programs and the verification and quality assurance of analytical results.
