Plug Power Meets Projected Order Targets for Fourth Quarter of 2013

$32 Million in Unit Orders, Service and Hydrogen Contracts; Company Signs First Large Turnkey GenDrive Solution Customer

Plug Power Inc. (PLUG), a leader in providing clean, reliable energy solutions, today announces it has met order targets set for the fourth quarter of 2013. Orders for the fourth quarter of 2013 totaled approximately $32 million, and includes contracts with Walmart, Kroger, Procter & Gamble, Bridgestone, BMW, Sysco, Ace Hardware, CVS, Mercedes Benz, Lowes, Stihl, and Coke.

Ballard Signs MOU with Van Hool for Further Zero Emission Fuel Cell Bus Deployments

Ballard Power Systems (NASDAQ:BLDP )(TSX:BLD.TO) has announced the signing of a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Van Hool NV, Europe's fourth largest bus manufacturer, in support of the manufacture and further deployment of zero emission fuel cell buses.

By February 2014 the companies plan to jointly respond to last week's call for proposals under the EU Hydrogen Fuel Cell Joint Undertaking, and also plan to jointly respond to other future calls for proposals under the Horizon 2020 program.

Ballard Signs Non-Binding MOU With Azure Hydrogen For Fuel Cell Bus Development

Ballard Power Systems (NASDAQ:BLDP )(TSX:BLD) has announced the signing of a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with its partner Azure Hydrogen Corporation of Beijing, China (Azure), extending the scope of their collaboration to include fuel cell buses.

The MOU with Azure envisions Ballard providing a manufacturing license agreement, engineering services, fuel cell stacks and components. As the MOU is non-binding, it is not a certainty that a definitive contract will be completed, however, the parties will move into the contract phase in the next several months. In the interim, under terms of the MOU, Azure has made a committed $1 million up-front payment to Ballard.

Ballard Fuel Cell Modules to Power Fleet of 10 Clean Energy Buses in Aberdeen, Scotland

Ballard Power Systems (TSX: BLD; NASDAQ: BLDP) has announced the recent signing of an agreement between Van Hool NV, Europe's fourth largest bus manufacturer, and the Transit Authority in Aberdeen, Scotland for delivery of 10 buses that will be powered by Ballard's 150 kilowatt FCvelocityTM-HD6 fuel cell module.

When deployed in revenue service, the 10-bus fleet to be operated in Aberdeen will be Europe's largest hydrogen fuel cell bus fleet. Furthermore, by early-2014 approximately 40 buses in Europe will be powered by Ballard fuel cell modules.

Ballard Signs Agreement for Clean Energy Fuel Cell Module to Power Connecticut Bus

Ballard Power Systems (NASDAQ:BLDP - News) (TSX:BLD.TO - News) has announced a supply agreement with the Center for Transportation and the Environment for a 150 kilowatt FCvelocityTM-HD6 fuel cell module to be integrated into a bus that will be deployed with CTTransit in Hartford, Connecticut. The All-American fuel cell hybrid bus is expected to be delivered in 2015.

The fuel cell hybrid bus configuration to be deployed with CTTransit was jointly developed with partners BAE Systems and ElDorado National and is currently in operation with SunLine Transit Agency in Thousand Palms, California.
