News Release: Secures $1.8 Million in New Orders to Repeat Customers

Hydrogenics Corporation (HYG TSX), a designer and manufacturer of proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell technology, announced that it has secured orders for multiple FCATS(TM) control and test systems from two customers located in Japan and Europe. FCATS(TM) is a proprietary product line of integrated fuel cell operating systems designed for control and testing of fuel cells. With these orders, Hydrogenics strengthens its customer base with automotive fuel cell developers and fuel cell component developers. The combined value of the orders is approximately $US 1.8 Million. 'These new orders, together with the orders that we announced last week, provide continued validation of the advanced features that we added to our FCATS platform, and at a macro level, point to an increased level of activity in fuel cell development worldwide,'comments Pierre Rivard, President and CEO.
