United States Navy Selects Spectrum Sciences for Crucial International Contract

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla., Mar 30, 2004 - Spectrum Sciences and Software Holdings Corp. (SPSC), highly focused on Homeland Security through the provision of full service, quality solutions to complex and diverse government initiatives, announced today that it received a contract to build Munitions Assembly Conveyors for American allies under direct contract through the United States Navy. This marks the initial acquisition of these rapid munitions assembly systems, by a foreign military agency. Spectrum Sciences was selected by the United States Navy to build the MAC based on its ability to provide a proven design, which is competitively priced, of the highest quality, and completely supported by the manufacturer. The MAC assembly itself is used to rapidly breakout, buildup, and transport large quantities of virtually any munitions items intended for airborne weapons release. Spectrum has been intimately involved with the unique development and manufacture of these MAC assets for the United States Air Force and United Kingdom customers for over three years.

"Spectrum's proprietary technologies, extraordinary depth of experience and proven skills in the development of mission-critical military assets, coupled with our exceptional design and engineering capabilities, are continually being validated by contracts such as this," stated Dwight Howard, Spectrum's Vice President, Manufacturing. "Spectrum's original processes enhanced the overall effectiveness and utility of these MAC systems -- resulting in our improvements being incorporated into these highly complex components. In addition, Spectrum has been providing outstanding and comprehensive full-service worldwide logistics support for the MAC systems for over three years and we envision this relationship continuing. The potential for Spectrum Sciences to receive follow-on purchases and expanded repair and maintainability requests from international users and United States war fighters is virtually assured."
