Spectrum Sciences to Participate in the 2004 Advanced Medium Range Air-To-Air Missile `AMRAAM' International Users' Conference
FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla., Mar 24, 2004 - Spectrum Sciences and Software Holdings Corp. (SPSC), announced today that it will attend, demonstrate, and present its latest Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM) containers and extensive support equipment product line for the attendees at the 2004 AMRAAM International Users' Conference (IUC) to be held on May 4-6th 2004 in San Francisco, CA. The AMRAAM IUC is a highly sought-after, elite presentation opportunity which is jointly hosted by the Air Armament Center headquartered at Eglin AFB, FL and the Secretary of the Air Force headquartered in Washington D.C. Representatives from numerous North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) countries will be in attendance and exposed to Spectrum's product lines, many for the first time. For Spectrum this is a unique opportunity to extend its influence at a crucial time in history as the US and allied countries jointly strive to win the global war on terrorism. Mr. Dwight Howard, Vice President of Manufacturing stated, "Many other long-range and far-reaching AMRAAM issues will be discussed and major decisions will be made at the IUC."
Spectrum Sciences will display and demonstrate its wide array of specialized AIM-120 AMRAAM support equipment product line directly to the International AMRAAM Users. Spectrum manufactures the AMRAAM missile containers for the Foreign Military Sales Community under a multi million-dollar contract. In addition to the many containers and other munitions handling equipment products currently manufactured for both US and International AMRAAM users, Spectrum recently assisted the Air Logistics Center in the development and fielding of a complete AMRAAM "tool kit," which will be unveiled for the International Users at the IUC. These "tool kits" contain every specialized hand tool required to maintain and periodically test these highly advanced air-to-air missiles.
Important development -- two major US defense contractors recently approved Spectrum Manufacturing as a qualified vendor. Added Howard, "The approval of these major defense contractors is a crucial step towards our vision of being the manufacturer of choice for Aircraft/Munitions Support Equipment for the US Department of Defense."
