News Release: Highest Weekly Diamond Production Achieved

DIAGEM is pleased to announce the results for week five of commercial mining operations carried out under an 'experimental mining'permit on the Fazenda Chicoria Diamondiferous Gravel Resource Block No.1 in the Juina Diamond Province, State of Mato Grosso, Brazil.

892 stones were recovered for a total of 242.63 carats. 34 stones weighed between 1 and 5 carats. The average quality was superior to previous weeks although the average size was smaller at 0.27 ct/stone. A good percentage of the diamonds were white and of gem quality. One day's production of 58.8 carats was the highest achieved to date. The performance of the recovery plants was excellent. Running time during the week was limited as a result of down time experienced by certain items of older ancillary equipment. Selective upgrades are being planned to improve reliability that should result in increased diamond production.

The technical content of this news release has been approved by Dr. Mousseau Tremblay, of Williamstown, Ontario, a Qualified Person, President, CEO and Director of Diagem International Resource Corp.

As part of its on-going Investor Relations program the company has retained the services of Connie Fischer as its in-house investor relations representative and NAI Interactive Ltd, a company that facilitates marketing communication with the Chinese speaking investment community in Canada and Overseas. Both services are remunerated on a fee for work done basis with Connie Fischer being granted 100,000 options at market price.
