West Timmins Mining Inc.: Multiple Zones of Gold Mineralization Intersected on WTM's Thorne Property
7.07 g/t gold over 2.60 metres from within 27.40 metre wide Gold Mineralized Zone
7.19 g/t gold over 2.00 metres from within 19.40 metre wide Gold Mineralized Zone
West Timmins Mining Inc. (TSX:WTM) announced today that sectional drilling on the Company's 100% owned Thorne Property has intersected multiple broad zones of gold mineralization, including high-grade gold intercepts from the West and Pond Zones. The reported drilling is part of the Company's on-going resource expansion program on the Property which forms part of the WTM's West Timmins Gold Project. The Thorne Property is located immediately southwest of the Company's Thunder Creek Joint Venture in Timmins, Ontario where three drills are currently testing the high-grade Rusk Gold Zone.
Hole GW08-20 intersected the West Zone at a vertical depth of 90 metres, returning a high-grade intercept of 7.07 g/t gold across 2.60 metres as part of a broader interval of gold mineralization which returned 0.95 g/t gold over 27.40 metres.
Hole 20 extends the West Zone 60 metres down dip, effectively doubling the down dip extent of this Zone on section 2575E. Hole 20 also returned an intercept of 12.60 metres grading 1.01 g/t gold from the Pond Zone, extending this zone by 165 metres along strike and for over 280 metres down-dip.
Hole GW08-21, drilled 50 metres below hole 20, successfully intersected the West, Sandhill, Lower Porphyry, Pond and the new South Marsh Zones. The Pond Zone in hole GW08-21 returned an intercept of 7.19 g/t gold over 2.00 metres at the core of a broader interval which graded 1.95 g/t gold over 17.20 metres.
In total five parallel, east-west trending zones of gold mineralization were intersected, of which only one, the West Zone, was included in previous resource estimates for the Property. A new discovery, the South Marsh Zone (see Figure attached) is located south of previous drilling.
All zones remain open to depth and along strike.
"Holes 20 and 21 are a promising start to our sectional drill program on the Thorne Property," said Darin Wagner, President and CEO of West Timmins Mining. "These results expand the known resource contained within the West Zone and significantly expand the Pond Zone, which exhibits grades significantly higher than the current resource grade. The expanding West Zone, Sandhill, Pond and newly discovered South Marsh Zones all have potential to add to the gold resources contained on the Thorne Property."

Quality Control and Assurance
Geochemical results reported are from halved drill core samples collected from the Thorne Property, part of the Company's West Timmins Gold Project. Core samples were collected by employees of the Company and are subject to the Company's quality control program. Sampling was conducted on site at the Company's exploration office in Timmins, Ontario and sealed samples were transported to ALS-Chemex's preparation facilities in Timmins, Ontario by WTM staff. Samples were assayed for gold by standard fire assay-ICP finish with a 30 gram charge. Gold values in excess of 3 g/t were re-analyzed by fire assay with gravimetric finish for greater accuracy. The remaining half of the drill core is stored on-site at the Company's Timmins exploration office. For quality control purposes blank, duplicate and analytical control standards were inserted into the sample sequence at irregular intervals. Mr. Darin Wagner (M.Sc., P.Geo), the Company's President, has acted as non-independent qualified person for this news release. The qualified person has visited the project site, examined the intervals reported and has verified that there were no significant discrepancies with respect to the quality control samples.
