1. Haste Makes Waste: How Discovery Scoreboard Supports Behavioural Investing

I am in Chicago to speak at the University club of Chicago Investment Forum. Over the weekend I read an interesting article in Canada’s National Post (NP) by reporter David Pett,

“Haste Makes Waste: How Investors Are Led Astray By Their Irrational Biases.”

I thought the article described our Discovery Investing Discipline to a tee. We have often said that from a behavioral viewpoint people make knee-jerk and unusually damaging investing decisions. Professor Daniel Kahneman said just this in his recent book, “Thinking: Fast and Slow.”
