London and Channel Islands based Schroders Private Banking won two of the eleven categories at the 2009 Private Asset Management (PAM) Awards: High Net Worth (HNW) Image and Reputation; and Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) Overall Client Service Quality. Schroders was also the only firm to win more than one award category in an eclectic list of contenders.
“During these turbulent times commendable client service is of significant importance. First-rate client communications, counselling and advice can all help diminish the impact of falling markets”, said Channel Islands CEO Julian Winser.
“We are delighted our endeavours to operate in a proactive manner have been acknowledged by the industry. There is no question our ability to communicate provides sizeable additional value to our clients. This, combined with our long history, allows both our existing and new clients to benefit from a steady hand
on the tiller.”
Over the past ten years Schroders has successfully improved its range of services. This investment is proving successful in terms of market positioning and the growing volume of new money, particularly in the UHNW category. The HNW Image and Reputation award is the culmination of this.
Over the last decade the PAM awards have become the established benchmark that acknowledges the best in the UK private asset management market. This year a record 42 firms completed the entry process. The judging panel included most of the UK’s leading experts in the private client investment consulting market; amongst them were Channel Islanders Roderick Balfour, Graham Harrison, Euan Dangerfield, David Nolan and James Day.
In the autumn of 2008 Schroders Private Banking was twice nominated at the Spear’s Wealth Management Awards as the UK Private Bank of the Year; for a bank that has delivered outstanding service for HNW individuals. They were also listed as the Asset Management Firm of the Year for High Net Worths – the accolade is for the firm that demonstrated outstanding performance in providing asset management services to HNWs.
In addition to these tributes Schroders Private Banking was listed as a finalist in the Best Medium Sized Business category at last month’s Guernsey Awards for Business Achievement. It is clear that Schroders Private Banking is consistently being recognised for their ability communicate and achieve.
