Optimi has been selected by Telefónica Argentina to provide managed optimisation services with guaranteed KPIs for 2G and 3G multilayer networks. This contract covers the entire Telefónica network in Argentina, and also comprises such advanced engineering activities as spectrum re-farming to enable mobile broadband services.
This agreement comes after two years of successful utilization of a significant part of Optimi’s solutions portfolio, already deployed by all the Telefónica affiliates in CALA, and also includes the acquisition of an additional set of Optimi solutions: User Quality Booster module for enhanced, QoE-centric automated frequency planning; OSS-based xACP, for 2G/3G automated cell planning based on network statistics; and xParameters 3G, for automated optimisation of key radio resource management parameters.
These solutions, together with the previously deployed ones, will be operated by Optimi engineers to deliver the comprehensive set of managed optimisation services that constitutes the central part of this deal. Optimi’s CALA Sales Director, Petteri Hakalin, commented: “We are excited and delighted to have the chance to work in close cooperation with Telefónica Argentina, and we are confident that the powerful combination of cutting-edge optimisation solutions and a world-class professional engineering services team will rapidly materialize in tangible benefits for the operator. In Optimi we are looking forward to starting the service delivery and envision this as the beginning of a long-term cooperation relationship that will prove beneficial for everyone involved.” Adolfo Flores, Access Networks Development Manager at Telefónica Argentina, stated: “We are really looking forward to starting this close co-operation with Optimi. We feel confident that this managed optimisation services engagement will make a difference for our network. We have already experienced the benefits of part of their innovative optimisation approaches in the field, and their value proposition makes it simple and comfortable for Telefónica Argentina to adopt this cooperation scheme for managed optimisation services”.
