Vyke Communications plc (“Vyke” or “the Company")   Vyke signs agreement with U2-Soft for Middle Eastern and African distribution Vyke Communications plc (AIM: VYKE) announces that it has signed an agreement with U2- Soft for large scale distribution of the Vyke product suite across the Middle East and Africa. U2-Soft is partially owned by i2 Group, a leading mobile phone distributor with more than 19,000 points of sale in the Middle East and Africa. U2-Soft has an exclusive agreement with i2 Group for the distribution of mobile content and software, and Vyke will leverage this strong sales channel to enable rapid expansion across the region. The Vyke product suite will be sold over-the-counter or pre-installed on handsets distributed by U2-Soft.

In 2008, the i2 Group distributed more than 15 million Nokia handsets in some 22 countries across the MEA region. This agreement underlines Vyke’s strength in the Middle East and Africa. As these markets mature to VoIP products and commercialisation on a more local level, Vyke is ideally placed to become the leading provider of VoIP products and services in the region.
