London, 27th March, 2009 - PageOne, the UK’s leading mobile messaging company to the public sector and enterprise announces that it has today been presented with the globally recognised certification ISO27001- the only auditable international benchmark for information security management.
PageOne was certified following twelve months of comprehensive inspection and testing, and during this time has worked tirelessly to ensure the highest standards of information security are developed and maintained.
Certification by an independent third party to ISO/IEC 27001 provides an added level of confidence and reassurance to PageOne customers particularly in such a challenging economic climate. Chris Knight, the IT Security Manager responsible for PageOne’s compliance programme commented: “Security of information is paramount to our customers’ businesses and it is imperative that as service providers we are leading by example by having a certified approach to our information processes and procedures”.
The ISO 27001 certificate, published by the International Organisation for Standardisation provides a disciplined approach to information security, business risk management and compliance management. The certification deals with establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining, and improving an Information Security management System so that it protects information assets.
Chris Jones, CEO at PageOne adds “ISO27001 certification demonstrates to our customers, prospects and staff, our ongoing commitment to always putting our customers at the heart of what we do. Thanks to this accreditation we can provide our customers not only with industry respected practices but with peace of mind that their information is being protected.”
