The Streamezzo Rich Media Client is now available on the full range of Sony-Ericsson devices
Mobile World Congress 2008 (Hall 7, Stand 7C18) – Barcelona, Spain – 16 February, 2009 - Streamezzo today announced that its Rich Media Client (RMC), the rendering client and core technology behind Streamezzo Mobile Open Development Platform, is available for the XPERIA™ X1, latest Sony Ericsson multimedia convergence phone.
With Windows Mobile® inside, the XPERIA™ X1 combines a 3-inch clear wide VGA display, a touch screen and a full arc slider QWERTY keyboard. This device is also featuring best in class HSUPA technology which allows it to expose record performance when data connection is used.
Streamezzo Rich Media Client is compliant with the entire range of Sony Ericsson devices, including all java capable devices (C510, W715 and W705 phone) through to the UIQ handsets (G900 phone).
The Rich Media Client enables mobile users to access a range of rich media services, including: interactive Mobile TV, widgets, portals, and dedicated real-time multimedia services. Optionally, the Rich Media Client can be used to power the whole handset user interface, and be customized for delivering dynamic services.
Thanks to Streamezzo Mobile Open Development Platform, service providers and mobile operators can extend the deployment of their Rich Media Application portfolios to all major operating systems; Android™, BlackBerry®, Brew®, IPhone™, Java®, Linux®, Symbian® S60 (including last 5th Edition) and Windows Mobile®.
