February 16, 2009, Barcelona, Spain – AIRCOM International, the leading independent network planning and optimisation consultancy, today announced it has signed a deal with MTN Syria to enhance the coverage and capacity of its 2G and 3G networks. MTN Syria will implement a suite of integrated AIRCOM tools that will address and optimise radio frequency planning, drive test post processing and automatic cell planning (ACP) functionalities across its 2G and 3G networks.
AIRCOM will automate and standardize MTN Syria’s core network optimisation processes. The network operator will purchase new licences for AIRCOM’s ASSET radio planning tool, as well as integrating its RANOPT and ADVANTAGE solutions. By implementing these tools, MTN Syria will benefit from new network features and enhanced knowledge transfer, enabling it to sustain the high quality of service it delivers to subscribers.
