Redstone Telecom, leading provider of telephony network and communications services to the private and public sectors, has announced DIGITALK as the partner of choice to move managed services in-house for improved flexibility and agility to launch new services.

Redstone Telecom was looking to invest in a solution that would enable them to provide enhanced services quickly, without the limitations posed by a managed services provider.  The strengthening of its strategic partnership with DIGITALK will enable Redstone Telecom to offer a wider variety of network based services.

DIGITALK has a longstanding history of providing robust and flexible Multiservice Platforms from which Redstone Telecom has been offering i-card service on the DIGITALK Calling Card solution for over three years. The relationship has enabled DIGITALK to work closely with Redstone to provide the functionality that matched Redstone’s ambitions.

Martin Balaam, CEO of Redstone plc commented, “We saw the full market potential that an in-house solution would offer with complete flexibility on both TDM and IP platforms. DIGITALK’s direct experience and understanding of the capabilities of the Multiservice Platform enabled Redstone to realise those ambitions very quickly. As a result of this key strategic investment we now have the ability to deliver innovative services within the new and emerging markets that have opened up.”

Mark Ashdown, DIGITALK Sales and Marketing Director, added, “The fact that Redstone Telecom has seen the opportunity to alter their network dramatically is a testament to the DIGITALK Multiservice Platform’s ability to provide advanced flexibility, power and sustainability to service providers. We are very pleased with the way the partnership with Redstone has developed over the years and will continue to work closely with new and expanding ventures.”
