PersonalNumber.Com today announced that they have opened their global number network to a worldwide audience, with free call forwarding to 150 countries.

Previously only available in the UK and US, the service is available at www.PersonalNumber.com, where users can sign up for a free UK +44 number, which can be forwarded to any landline (and mobile in many countries) at no cost or else to a Global SIM card.

Customers can register online, and instantly be issued their very own Global number. After logging in, free call forwarding can be set up to five numbers, or set to go to voicemail. The call divert can be changed by logging onto the website anywhere in the world. There is zero cost to sign up, no contract, and no fees payable at any time. A free voicemail to email facility is also provided.

The service is ideal for anyone (for example a business user) who wants to be contactable on a single number without paying anything for incoming calls, regardless of location. Business users can issue their own Personal Number to colleagues and customers ensuring they will never miss an important call. It is also ideal for any company that needs a UK customer contact number with zero costs applicable.

The extension of the available countries opens up the market to year out students or ex-pats. Whilst abroad their friends and family have a local UK number for constant contact, which is easily re-routed to a SIM card or landline as they travel to different destinations.

Another option is that the Personal Number can be mapped to a prepaid Global SIM card, so that users can receive calls on the SIM card throughout the world. Free incoming calls to the SIMs are offered in over 50 countries, including all of Europe, Australia and parts of the Middle East. Free voicemail retrieval is also available worldwide. The Global SIM card also has the advantage of considerably cheaper outbound calls and texts whilst overseas than with regular Network Operators.

The privacy afforded by the service is ideal for individuals who need to publish a phone number in conjunction with printed or online classified advertisements - or when using any form of dating service.  Since callers never dial the user’s domestic mobile or home number, their anonymity is ensured.
