Company to join DGI and Cisco to deliver complimentary webinar for government organisations

Lancope, Inc., a leader in network visibility and security intelligence, will join the Digital Government Institute (DGI) and Cisco on Thursday, Sept. 5 to present a free webinar on how to detect cyber threats from inside the network. Amidst today’s threat landscape, governments can no longer just rely on perimeter defenses to protect their critical assets and data.

“Sophisticated attackers are increasingly evading conventional defenses and infiltrating government networks,” said Tom Albert, vice president of business development for Lancope. “Not to mention the rising threat posed by insiders who already have valid access credentials. The only way to detect today’s advanced cyber-attacks is to have in-depth visibility into what is going on inside the network to swiftly detect anomalies that could indicate risk.”

Join Lancope and Cisco to learn how to uncover suspicious behavior inside the network and protect against next-generation threats:

Lancope’s StealthWatch® System leverages NetFlow data from Cisco infrastructure to provide end-to-end network visibility for detecting advanced attacks including sophisticated malware, DDoS, APTs and insider threats. The system dramatically improves threat detection, incident response, forensics and compliance, and is highly scalable to meet the needs of even the largest, most complex networks.

“NetFlow is a valuable tool for obtaining the network insight needed to fend off advanced threats,” said Peter Romness, cybersecurity business development manager for Cisco. “Organisations of all types and sizes should be making NetFlow collection and analysis a key component of their security strategies moving forward.”
