Leading Direct-to-Cloud Network Takes Aim at Inefficiencies of Legacy, Appliance-Based Security; Invites Companies to Experience Cloud Alternative with Six Months of Free Service
LONDON (UK), June 27, 2013 – Zscaler, the industry’s leading secure Direct-to-Cloud Network for global advanced security and policy enforcement, today announced it would buyout existing Websense and Blue Coat customer contracts from organisations that make the switch to Zscaler with six months of free service, including Mobile Security, Single Sign On (SSO) and consultative migration assistance. Websense customers should visit http://www.zscaler.com/switch-from-websense-to-zscaler.php. Blue Coat customers should visit http://www.zscaler.com/switch-from-bluecoat-to-zscaler.php.
As an increasing number of organisations embrace the productivity benefits of cloud and mobile environments, Websense and Blue Coat customers have remained shackled to earthbound security appliances that hog resources and require additional investments in MPLS, bandwidth and backhauling services. In contrast, the Zscaler Direct-to-Cloud Network delivers advanced Web security and real-time global policy enforcement through more than 100 global data centers that process 10 billion transactions daily, eliminating the need for branch office appliances and MPLS networks – in some instances reducing traffic backhauling costs by more than 80 percent.
“Remote employees, cloud services and mobile users have exposed the appliance-based hub-and-spoke enterprise security architecture as ineffective; the cost of investing in MPLS, bandwidth and backhauling technology is no longer economically justified nor scalable,” said Lane Bess, COO, Zscaler. “Zscaler has developed an alternative with its Direct-to-Cloud Network, which delivers the full features of a Secure Web Gateway through a globally-distributed cloud network, eliminating hardware and its associated complexity and overhead.”
Per the terms and conditions of the promotion, Zscaler will issue a credit for up to six months of Zscaler service and consultative migration assistance for qualified Websense and Blue Coat customers. The Zscaler promotion includes complementary Mobile Security and integrated Single Sign On through existing partnerships with Ping, Okta and One Login at no additional cost. Zscaler will provide an equivalent support service package at no cost for the period of the credit term. All authorized Zscaler partners are eligible and invited to participate in this promotion. The promotional period begins June 25, 2013 and ends on August 31, 2013.
