Former Symantec Executive to Lead Expanded Federal Sales Efforts 

Portland, Oregon – June 6, 2013 – Tripwire, a leading global provider of risk-based security and compliance management solutions, announced today that John Klein has joined the company as federal sales director. In his new role, Klein will lead the company’s expanded sales focus in the federal information security market.  Tripwire’s current federal government customers include the Departments of Justice, Homeland Security, Energy, Defense, Commerce and Health and Human Services as well as many others. In the private sector, Tripwire counts nearly half of the Fortune 500 as customers.

Klein has over twenty years of technology sales experience in the federal market. In his previous role with Symantec as a senior area sales director focused on federal civilian government and federal system integrators nationwide, Klein’s division consistently led U.S. sales and he received numerous awards including Public Sector MVP and Top Area Director Worldwide. Prior to Symantec, Klein held positions with Cisco Systems, Synoptics Communications and U.S. Federal Microsystems.
