Additionally, ISACA developed COBIT, the internationally accepted framework for governance and management of enterprise IT. The latest version, COBIT 5, was released in April.
“Allan’s wealth of experience is a tremendous asset to ISACA,” said Greg Grocholski, CISA, chief audit executive at The Dow Chemical Company, who was elected international president of ISACA. “He has made significant contributions in international and national leadership roles, and he is a valuable member on the ISACA board.”
Boardman began his career with Deloitte in Cape Town, South Africa, and has more than 30 years of experience in information systems audit, risk, security and consultancy roles at companies including JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, KPMG, PWC, Marks and Spencer and the London Stock Exchange. He is a past president of the ISACA London Chapter and has served on the British Computer Society’s Information Risk Management and Audit Committee. He currently chairs ISACA’s Credentialing Board and is a member of its Strategic Advisory Council. He is also a London 2012 Paralympics Games Maker and a Freeman of the City of London.
“I am privileged and honored to continue to serve ISACA,” said Boardman. “It is an amazing organization to be part of and I am very excited to be involved in the association as it continues its global leadership in trust and value services to its members and the wider information systems community.”
In addition to Grocholski and Boardman, nine other IT professionals were named to ISACA leadership positions for the 2012-2013 term.
