Brownstone Energy Announces Oil Discovery at Llanos Block 27, Colombia

Brownstone Energy Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BWN)(OTCQX:BWSOF) ("Brownstone") is pleased to announce that it has been advised by its joint venture partners that there has been an oil discovery in the Upper Mirador Formation at the Mani-1 well on the Llanos 27 Block in Colombia.

Mani-1 is the first well to be drilled in the Llanos 27 exploration drilling program. The well began drilling on October 21, 2011, and finished drilling at a final total depth ("TD") of 10,850 feet on December 11, 2011, with completion and testing operations commencing on December 12, 2011. Open hole well logs indicated that the key prospective formation was the Upper Mirador at 9,480 feet.

Bellatrix exceeds exit guidance, averaging 16,000 boepd during December 2011, layers in additional commodity fixed price contracts for 2012, announces plans to drill a 100% Duvernay test in Q1 2012 and provides a further operational update

Bellatrix Exploration Ltd. ("Bellatrix" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that average production in the month of December 2011 (based on field estimates) averaged 16,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d) and that it has recently layered in additional commodity fixed price contracts for 2012. Pembina Pipeline Corporation to Acquire Provident Energy Ltd., to Create Leading North American Energy Infrastructure Company

Pembina Pipeline Corporation (TSX: PPL, PPL.DB.C) ("Pembina") and Provident Energy Ltd. (TSX: PVE, PVE.DB.E, PVE.DB.F, NYSE: PVX) ("Provident") are pleased to announce they have entered into an agreement (the "Arrangement Agreement") for Pembina to acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Provident (the "Provident Shares") by way of a plan of arrangement under the Business Corporations Act (Alberta) (the "Arrangement") to create an integrated company that will be a leading player in the North American energy infrastructure sector. Upon the successful completion of this transaction Pembina intends to increase its monthly dividend rate from $0.13 per share per month (or $1.56 annualized) to $0.135 per share per month (or $1.62 annualized) representing a 3.8% increase and reflecting management's confidence in the significant operational and financial strength of the combined entity going forward.

Connacher Announces Management Change

Connacher Oil and Gas Limited (CLL-TSX) today announced that effective immediately, Richard A Gusella relinquished his positions as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, President and Interim Chief Operating Officer of the company.  In addition, Mr. Gusella is no longer a director of Connacher. Connacher wishes to thank Mr. Gusella for his significant contributions to the company's growth and development over the past 11 years and wishes him the very best in his future endeavours.

Effective immediately and on an interim basis, Colin M. Evans and Kelly J. RMP Energy Announces Light Oil Exploration Success at Ante Creek and Provides Operational Update

RMP Energy Inc. ("RMP" or the "Company") (TSX:RMP.TO - News) today provided the following updates:

Ante Creek Drilling
RMP is pleased to report that it has successfully drilled and completed its exploration Montney light oil well at Ante Creek in West Central Alberta. The 100% working interest well, located at 4-35-66-24W5, was drilled to a total measured depth of 3,629 metres with a horizontal leg of 1,555 metres. The well was completed with an 18 stage, gelled-hydrocarbon fracture stimulation. After recovering all of its load fluid, the 4-35 well flow-tested an average of 1,620 bbls/d of crude oil with a gas-oil-ratio of 1,030 standard cubic feet per bbl, for a total of 1,900 boe/d at a flowing wellhead tubing pressure of 5,779 kPa (838 psi). The gravity of the oil produced was 38 degree API.
