URS Corporation (NYSE: URS - News) and Flint Energy Services Ltd. (TSX: FES.TO - News) today announced a definitive agreement under which URS will acquire Flint for C$25.00 per share in cash, or C$1.25 billion (US$1.25 billion). URS also will assume approximately C$225 million (US$225 million) in Flint debt.

Pyramid Oil Company Initiates Drilling of Santa Fe #20 Development Well in Carneros Creek Field

Pyramid Oil Company (AMEX: PDO - News), today announced it has commenced drilling operations on the Santa Fe #20, a development well within Pyramid's Carneros Creek field in Kern County, California.

The well will target the Point of Rocks formation at a depth of approximately 3,400 feet. Drilling is expected to take approximately 10 days and will be followed by perforating and stimulation operations. Pyramid has roughly three-dozen wells producing in the Carneros Creek field, where the Company has operated for more than 25 years.

Crescent Point Energy Corp. ("PetroBakken"), a publicly traded oil and gas producer, to acquire certain assets in the proposed waterflood area of the Viewfield Bakken light oil resource play in southeast Saskatchewan (the "Bakken Waterflood Assets") for cash consideration of $427 million. The assets are primarily in the Company's proposed waterflood units and include more than 2,900 boe/d of production and more than 25 net sections of land in the Viewfield Bakken resource play. The Bakken Acquisition is expected to help accelerate Crescent Point's waterflood program in the Viewfield Bakken resource play.

Rock Energy Announces Sale of remaining Montney Natural Gas Assets at Elmworth

Rock Energy Inc. (TSX:RE.TO - News) ("Rock") is pleased to announce that it has entered into a second purchase and sale agreement for the sale of its remaining Montney natural gas assets in Elmworth to a Canadian oil and gas producer.
