December 6th 2011 - Yell has launched a website to provide expertise in digital marketing for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK – www.marketing.yell.com. The expanded site is a rich resource of free content for SMEs wishing to improve existing website performance, develop their online presence and attract new sales leads.

Research by Yell has revealed the strong demand amongst small businesses for help and advice in developing their online profile, with up to 200,000 UK SMEs looking for a new website. (Critical Research 2010).

 

Yell’s site aims to help business owners understand the ways in which an effective online presence can grow their business, by offering in-depth digital marketing advice and hundreds of free specialist advice articles and blog posts. Topics covered include: website design, website content, best practice SEO, social media, banner advertising and video marketing. The regularly updated content is provided by a pool of more than 20 external contributors and Yell in-house experts that will grow in the coming months.

The site also includes details of free-to-attend local business events and lists partner offers on business essentials from some of the UK’s top brands including: Regus, Sage, Parcel Force, British Gas business and moo.com.

New businesses also have the opportunity to directly register their business through www.marketing.yell.com for a free Yell listing to appear in Yell online, Yell mobile apps, Yellow Pages and 118 24 7.
