According to Anthony Haywood, CTO for the specialist network security assessment company, the creation of new 64bit drivers for Microsoft Windows platforms, enables their technology to take advantage of enhanced performance and to future proof the architecture for future operating system releases.

 

 High Quality Security Rules

 

Idappcom have created advanced, high quality security rules to compliment the 4000+ known attacks and application exploits within their extensive malicious traffic library.

 

Haywood commented, “The decision to include high quality security rules in our extensive library of known attacks and applications exploits was a logical extension of the existing technology and will enable our clients to achieve the highest levels of attack recognition and mitigation while extending the lifecycle of their existing security infrastructure.”

 

Simple Scripting – Advanced Capabilities

 

The new scripting interface that has also been integrated into Traffic IQ Professional empowers users to perform advanced network security assessments functions using simple scripted commands written in the common and well supported Microsoft VBA language.

 

The Idappcom CTO went on to say, “Security professionals can now tap-in to advanced network functions without writing a line of code.”

 

The scripting interface can be used for the following security assessment tasks:

 

·        Asset Discovery - broadcasts and receives responses or directly connects to devices/applications or services to prove the assets are available.

 

·        Vulnerability Assessment - Connects and determines (based on responses) if devices/application or services are affected by known vulnerabilities.

 

·        Application Testing - determines if a device/application or service is vulnerable to known malformed packets or application layer payloads.

 

·        Attack Resiliency/End Point testing - directly launches an attack/threat against a device/application or service to determine if it can be compromised.
