CES 2015Showcases Personal Privacy Technology; iWallet, Wocket, LoopPay, Silent Pocket and HyprKey
From Replacing Your Wallet to Protecting its Contents, Technology is Trying to Stay Ahead of the Thieves
New York NY - Point Roberts WA – January 12, 2014 – (www.investorideas.com newswire) Investorideas.com, a global news source covering leading sectors including technology and tech stocks, releases highlights of the CES 2015 (Consumer Electronics Show) Personal Privacy marketplace.
With identity theft issues making headlines in 2014, it’s no surprise that the personal privacy marketplace at CES was continuously busy. From how to make payments securely - to protecting identity, each company offered different approaches and solutions. Some worked as an app, others separate from a smartphone and one simply blocks your smartphone information in a secure pocket; here’s a glimpse at what’s next from iWallet, Wocket, LoopPay, Silent Pocket and HyprKey.
The busiest booth by far was the Wocket smart wallet (www.wocketwallet.com). The back-wall continuous running videos of how it works, in addition to daily performances of master pickpocket & entertainer Apollo Robbins attracted large crowds of curious media, retailers and industry attendees.
Apollo showed how easily a wallet can be stolen in just seconds and the Wocket team demonstrated how their biometric smart wallet acts like a personal vault, accessible only by you with a combination of voice and PIN biometrics. Once in, users can enter and store all the cards they would carry in their wallet (up to 10,000) onto the Wocket, replacing credit cards, debit cards and loyalty cards with one single secure card that “zeroizes” after each transaction. If the card is stolen, it is a worthless blank card! A key difference from Wocket and most secure payment technology; it’s separate from your smartphone!

iWallet
A different approach to wallet security - iWallet (www.iwalletusa.com). Their biometric wallet is accessible by your fingerprint and inside the metal case; all your cash and credit cards are secure and safe. They also showcased their iPassport biometric technology.
Silent Pocket
Silent Pocket was created to shield your identity, your smartphone and other items in a wallet like pocket that shields frequencies for RFID, NFC, Cellular and more. So, if you want to go shopping in a large retail outlet and don’t want to be tracked or attacked with ads, you put your phone and ID into the Silent Pocket. The idea they say, is to make any device unhackable, untrackable and undetectable! (www.silent-pocket.com)
HyprKey 2015 CES
HyprKey wants to replace your wallet with a Bluetooth sticker. Their HYPR-3 technology secures payments with biometric tokens. It can secure your credit cards and bitcoin. The company is currently accepting pre-orders. (www.hyprkey,com)

LoopPay, Inc.
LoopPay and its mobile wallet, one of the most well-known names in the personal privacy marketplace, demonstrated how you can potentially pay anywhere with its app and leave your wallet at home. On their brochure/handout at CES, they invited users to take the Apple Pay/LoopPay challenge. Obviously one of the biggest differences - LoopPay works with both iPhone and Android and is not associated with any particular device maker. The LoopPay app is locked with a PIN and password.
