Kitting out a bachelor pad with top-rated ‘boys-toys’ costs almost £5,000, according to research.

Huge plasma televisions, top of the range laptops, games consoles, high-end stereos with surround speakers and other gadgets put the bill up to £4,678.97.

The cost emerged in a study by online review site www.reevoo.com which named the 15 must-have items for any self-respecting bachelor.

Among the items to appear on the list is a Panasonic 50 inch HD ready plasma screen TV worth £1,351 and the Hewlett Packard Pavilion DV9605 laptop for £699.

Unsurprisingly the living room is home to the most electronic devices.

...web developments continue to run over budget, overtime or short change their stakeholders ….

Thursday 22nd May 2008 – UK IT managers and directors admit that web projects are repeatedly failing to fully meet business or organisational objectives according to an independent survey commissioned by New Bamboo, the specialist in bespoke software development using Ruby on Rails. Respondents of the survey claimed this was due to three key reasons: (1) too many changing requirements; (2) too many stake holders to please; (3) not enough budget or time to deliver.

The study, which questioned 100 senior IT managers and directors across businesses from a variety of industries, showed that the majority of businesses and organisations (61% of respondents surveyed) were still involved in delivering a basic web site or upgrade on an existing site.

Serengeti Makes New Copper-Moly Discovery at Kwanika & Expands Central Copper-Gold Zone

Serengeti Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: SIR) is pleased to report the results of the next batch of holes from its 2008 drill program currently underway on its 100% owned Kwanika copper-gold property, British Columbia.

\"These results indicate that we have discovered a new copper-molybdenum zone southeast of the central copper-gold zone,\" stated President & CEO David Moore. \"The western edge of the central zone also remains open with some excellent results returned from K-78 including 0.72% Cu and 0.81 g/t Au over 75 meters. Drilling to the north also demonstrates that the central zone now has a strike length in excess of 1000 meters. Looking at the bigger picture, we now have good copper plus gold and/or molybdenum values in drill holes along a combined 2.6 kilometer strike length from the original historical resource in the south to the northern end of the main zone.
