Mountain Province Diamonds Commences Tuzo Deep Drill Program and Kennady Lake Airborne Gravity Survey

Mountain Province Diamonds Inc. ("Mountain Province", the "Company") (TSX: MPV, NYSE-AMEX: MDM) is pleased to announce that the 50-meter line spacing airborne gravity survey over both the 100%-controlled Kennady North Diamond Project and 49%-controlled Gahcho Ku Joint Venture Project has commenced. The survey, which is being conducted by Fugro Airborne Survey Corp., is expected to be completed by the end of October, subject to weather conditions.

Mountain Province Diamonds Announces Corporate Strategy

Mountain Province Diamonds Inc. ("Mountain Province", the "Company") (TSX: MPV, NYSE-AMEX: MDM) today announced that after receiving unsolicited expressions of interest from third parties the Company has decided to cease discussions and other engagement with those third parties in order to focus management's attention on the following key activities: the permitting of the Gahcho Kué Project, arranging Mountain Province's share of the financing for the first mine at Gahcho Kué, advancing the Tuzo Deep drill program at Gahcho Kué and exploration at the Company's 100% controlled Kennady North project .

Metalex Recovers Largest Diamond Yet From U2 Kimberlite

Metalex Ventures Ltd. (TSXV : MTX) ("Metalex", the "Company") is pleased to report that a 2.61 carat white gem quality diamond has been recovered from the exceedingly large, 9.3 hectare, U2 kimberlite pipe on the Metalex - Arctic Star Diamond Corp. (TSXV : ADD) joint venture in the James Bay lowlands, Ontario.

This 2.61 carat gem exceeds the largest diamond previously recovered which was 1.25 carats. A 0.54 carat and six other diamonds exceeding 0.13 carats were also recovered from this hole (U2-RC-10). Pictures of diamonds from this hole including the 2.61 carat stone and a 0.18 carat pinkish diamond are available on the Company's website (www.metalexventures.ca). A total of 214 commercial sized stones (greater than 0.425mm) have been recovered from U2-RC-10.

Peregrine Discovers Three More Kimberlites at Chidliak

Peregrine Diamonds Ltd. ("Peregrine" or "the Company") (TSX: PGD) is pleased to report the discovery by drilling of three new kimberlites, CH-56, CH-57 and CH-58, on the Chidliak project ("Chidliak" or "the Project"). Chidliak is located on southern Baffin Island approximately 100 kilometres northeast of Iqaluit, the capital of Nunavut, Canada. The company has drilled 15 targets and discovered eight kimberlites since April of this year, a success rate of 53 percent. To date, 35 of the 58 kimberlites that have been discovered at Chidliak have been tested for diamonds and seven of these have economic diamond mining potential in Arctic settings. In addition to the three new discoveries, a second core hole has been drilled into the CH-55 kimberlite, the discovery of which was reported on June 2, 2011. Currently one core rig has commenced drilling on kimberlite CH-31 and the other core rig on kimberlite CH-33. The reverse circulation rig will continue drilling priority targets.

Peregrine Discovers Four New Kimberlites and Completes 11,000 Line-Kilometre Airborne Geophysical Survey at Chidliak

Peregrine Diamonds Ltd. (TSX: PGD) ("Peregrine" or "the Company") is pleased to report the discovery by drilling of four new kimberlites, CH-52 to CH-55, on the Chidliak project ("Chidliak"). Chidliak is located on southern Baffin Island approximately 100 kilometres northeast of Iqaluit, the capital of Nunavut, Canada. The company has discovered five kimberlites since April of this year, bringing to 55 the total number of kimberlites discovered at Chidliak since August, 2008. Seven of the 35 kimberlites tested for diamonds to date have characteristics consistent with economic diamond mining potential in Arctic settings. In addition to the new discoveries, core holes were drilled into the CH-17 and CH-28 kimberlites that were discovered in 2010 and an 11,000 line-kilometre heli-borne magnetic/electromagnetic geophysical survey was completed. Two core rigs and a reverse circulation ("RC") rig are currently drilling at Chidliak.
