This tender of Karowe diamonds consisted of 12 single stone lots. All 12 diamonds, totaling 1,098 carats, were sold for gross revenues of US $38.70 million (US $35,230 per carat).

 

Highlights:

--  5 diamonds sold for more than US $2.0 million each. 

--  Lot 1001, the 224.5 carat Type IIa diamond sold for US $11.11 million (US $49,497/ct), which was also the highest value per carat diamond. 

--  Lot 1004, the 162.3 carat diamond sold for US $4.88 million (US $30,117/ct) 

--  Lot 1005, the 81.8 carat diamond sold for the second highest price per carat of US $46,138/ct.

TORONTO and NEW YORK, Oct. 25, 2016 /CNW/ - Mountain Province Diamonds Inc. ("Mountain Province", the "Company") (TSX: MPV, NASDAQ: MDM) is pleased to announce the production for the third quarter ended September 30, 2016 from the Gahcho Kué Diamond Mine.

 

The total mining of waste and ore for the nine months to September 30, 2016 from the 5034 open pit was approximately 15.9 million tonnes, with approximately 17,000 tonnes of ore stockpiled.

 

Ramp-up production at Gahcho Kué commenced on August 1, 2016. From August 1 to September 30, the plant processed approximately 130,000 tonnes of ore and produced 198,000 carats on a 100 percent basis, of which the Company's 49 percent share is approximately 97,000 carats.

(LUC.TO)(LUC.TO)(NASDAQ OMX Stockholm:LUC) ("Lucara" or the "Company") reports strong Q2 2016 revenues of $140.8 million or $1,824 per carat resulting in H1 revenues of $191.4 million or $1,233 per carat. The board also declared on July 19, 2016 a total dividend to be paid of CA$178 million at CA$46.5 cents per share (all dollar amounts are in US Dollars unless otherwise indicated).
