UK-based Chiltern International – one of the industry's leading mid-sized Clinical Research Organisations - has expanded its Contract Personnel Department (CPD) in line with increased demand for its services with the appointment of Rob Mitchell as a Contract Personnel Executive.

Rob – who will be based in the UK - will work as an integral part of Chiltern’s team overseeing the placement of contract and permanent candidates in pharmaceutical and biotech companies as well as other CROs and managing their careers whilst at Chiltern. He brings significant experience and expertise to the new role, having previously worked in the pharmaceutical industry for MSD and Eli Lilly. Prior to this he also worked for seven years in the recruitment industry where he placed middle to senior managers in contract and permanent positions within a variety of companies.

“I chose Chiltern because they are a well respected organisation with a clear vision of what they are trying to achieve,” he explained. “I am looking forward to building on my previous pharmaceutical and recruitment experience and believe Chiltern has a lot to offer the industry. Being involved in clinical research themselves, they are fully aware of the recruitment needs of their clients.”

“We’re delighted to welcome Rob to our expanding team,” added Larry Hughes, Deputy Head of Chiltern’s Contract Personnel Department. “We’re committed to ensuring that companies gain access to talented staff. Individuals who can effectively communicate ideas and results can make the difference when it comes to the success of a company’s performance in clinical development.”

Established in London in 1982, Clinical Research Organisation Chiltern International provides clinical operations, project management, data management, biostatistics, medical writing, quality assurance and regulatory and medical affairs services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. The company also offers clinical contract personnel services to pharmaceutical and biotechnical clients. It has nine international offices – three in the United States and six in Europe.
