News Release: Bright Star Acquires Nine Claims Adjacent to Recently Discovered Platinum Zone

Bright Star Ventures Ltd. (TSX-V: BSV) (the 'Company') is pleased to report, subject to regulatory approvals, the acquisition of nine claims (the 'PGM Claims') in the vicinity of recently discovered platinum mineralization within the Tulameen ultramafic complex, near Princeton, BC. The newly acquired claim block covers an area located immediately east of the discovery area where significant platinum mineralization occurs on surface over a large area (see Stockwatch news release November 27, 2003). The Company has the right to acquire 100% ownership in nine mineral claims in the Similkameen Mining Division, British Columbia subject to a 2% Net Smelter Return (with a 1% buy down for $200,000) and by making cash payments totaling $108,000 over 6 years and issue 100,000 fully-paid common shares in four equal installments. The first 25,000 shares will be issued upon receipt of regulatory approval and the remaining 75,000 shares will be issued on the following three anniversary dates. The shares will be subject to a hold period commencing on the date of TSX-V acceptance. The Company has also committed to spending a minimum of $40,000 in work expenditures over a period of two years.

To date, thirty-nine (39) samples over the discovery area immediately west of the recently acquired claims have returned significant bedrock grab and chip samples assays ranging from 0.54 g/t to 24.90 g/t Pt. The new PGM claims are favorably underlain by the central dunite core, as well as olivine clinopyroxenite, gabbro and hornblende clinopyroxenite on the north face of Olivine Mountain. The PGM claim block will be incorporated into an ongoing exploration program designed to expand the known area of platinum mineralization discovered during the 2003 field exploration program. Assays ranging up to 1.8 g/t Pt have been obtained within 30 meters of these recently acquired claims.
