News Release: Sampling Returns High Grade Gold at Lookout Hill

Entree Gold Inc. ('Entree') is pleased to announce that recent sampling from its Lookout Hill (Shivee Tolgoi) gold-copper property in Mongolia has returned high grade gold results.

A total of sixty five samples were collected from the X-Grid Zone, the third area at Lookout Hill to return significant surface sampling results, located approximately 2.5 kilometres east of Ivanhoe Mines'(NASDAQ: HUGO; TSX: IVN; ASX: IVN) Turquoise Hill (Oyu Tolgoi) property. Twenty five of these samples were collected from a 200 metre by 900 metre mineralized zone, with ten samples returning gold values greater than 0.5 grams/tonne (g/t), five returning values greater than 1.0 g/t, and one sample returning 22.3 g/t. The best sample was collected from a quartz vein along strike from previously sampled zones that yielded gold values from 0.77 g/t to 2.6 g/t. This quartz vein system occurs within an area of altered sediments and volcanics. Entree's X-Grid Zone is a separate gold system from the Company's Zone III epithermal gold system and remains open along strike.

Immediately east of the quartz vein system there is a well defined, 500 metre by 450 metre gold-molybdenum soil anomaly. Part of the same mineralized system as the X-Grid Zone, this soil anomaly suggests potential for another system at depth and the possibility that the system at surface is wider than currently understood. The soil anomaly also remains open along strike.

'The results from the X-Grid Zone illustrate that the size and extent of the mineralization at Lookout Hill is more significant than we had anticipated,'said Greg Crowe, Entree's President and CEO. 'The full extent of this mineralization is yet to be determined and we are optimistic that our continuing exploration at Lookout Hill will identify additional mineralized areas of interest.'

Additional results from the most recent phase of exploration at the X-Grid Zone are being compiled. Information concerning these results will be released upon full analysis of the data.

Exploration at Lookout Hill is under the supervision of Robert Cann, P.Geo., Entree's Exploration Manager, a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101. Mr. Cann is responsible for the preparation of technical information in the company's News Releases. All rock samples are prepared and analyzed by SGS Analabs of Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia.
