Cheap large capitalized stocks with high growth originally published at "long-term-investments.blogspot.com. Cheap stocks, bargains or undervalued companies can promise you good returns if you believe that they receive a better valuation within the next months or years. It's very difficult to discover those stocks because of the hundreds of thousands technical and fundamental measures.

I often used my static ratios like earnings multiples or book ratios to identify cheaply valuated stocks. Today I like to change my recent criteria about cheapest dividend paying large caps a little bit. I tighten the restriction Price-To-Sales to a value of less than one and look at forward P/E's. In the past, I've looked at current earnings multiples.

Stocks with dividend hikes from last week originally published at long-term-investments.blogspot.com. 24 companies increased its dividends within the recent week. Compared to 15 stocks from the previous week, it's a small improvement but not the big numbers of 50 or more. The average dividend growth amounts to 32.07 percent.

Several recent dividend growth stocks have a market capitalization over $10 billion. Those are big names like McDonald's, or Microsoft. The technology and software giant also announced to buy back $40 billion in own shares. That's around 14 percent of the current market value.

Yesterday the company announced the discovery of much higher grade gold as well as the extension of the Lower Zone at the Relief Canyon Mine. This discovery was based on the results from seven diamond core drill holes.

Management believes that these results should increase the size of the NI 43-101 gold resource and the size of the footprint at the mine.

A solid investment delivers also solid returns over the time. Dividend growth is not the only criteria for a good investment. There are also many dividend growth stocks outside with low or negative return on investments and return on equity ratios.

Today I screened the Dividend Contenders Database by stocks with high return ratios. I fixed the 20 percent level in order to get the best results.

Only 15 companies fulfilled both, a return on equity as well as a return on investment over 20 percent. The difference between those two ratios is that the return on investment does not include the leverage effect.
