ANDOVER, Massachusetts, October 20, 2010 – Napatech today announced general availability and first large volume shipments of its new NT20E2 Capture and In-line adapters. The NT20E2 intelligent network adapters are based on PCI-Express Gen 2 providing full 20 Gbps throughput.

 The new NT20E2 Capture is the first packet capture adapter on the market to include transmit capabilities allowing support of Capture/Replay and Traffic Generation applications. This allows Napatech’s OEM customers to upgrade their network performance monitoring systems to include data retention and network analysis capabilities.

 “For Capture/Replay applications, reception and transmission typically does not occur at the same time”, said Erik Norup, President, Napatech Inc. “In this case, it is more important that the replayed data can be controlled precisely to simulate conditions under reception.”

With precise control of transmission timing and automatic TCP/UDP/Ethernet checksum generation, the NT20E2 Capture is also ideal for test applications, which require packet blast at full line-rate.
