Talk about timing, in our last newsletter, I write about a stock I have been accumulating for a few months and the company finally picks a mining deal and up it goes. More on that in our next newsletter which will update a few companies we have talked about in the past.

Today we have a new sponsoring Gold Exploration Company with three properties in Nevada.

Yes Nevada, politically stable United States. I've seen companies, exploring in other parts of the world, fight through the courts over ownership of claims for years. I've seen companies get hammered on taxes because the country's leadership changes and they decide they want more taxes or royalties.

The company spent 2014 drilling one of the properties and some highlights from the last year include:

Chart Note: Wedge Formation

The company's stock price responded to the positive drilling results in 2014 and moved from pennies to a high of $1.50 last summer. I have inserted a chart below showing the current wedge it is forming just under .50. Which way will it break? The higher lows on the bottom of the wedge looks promising.

The company also announced the 100% acquisition of a gold project in Ghana. As I have stated before, I think Ghana is fairly stable and there are several majors with mines in Ghana: "Newmont’s Ahafo and Akyem mines in Ghana accounted for 12 percent of company revenue in 2013, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Greenwood Village, Colorado-based Newmont is considering expanding a processing plant and constructing a new underground mine in the West African country." (from a Bloomberg Article)

Sandstorm Gold trades at $3.67CA and must like the upside potential.
