New COBIT 5 Training Courses and Accreditation Program

Four new COBIT 5 training courses will be launched over the next five months as the result of a new partnership between ISACA and APMG-International. APMG has been appointed as ISACA’s official training accreditation and qualification partner for COBIT 5, ISACA’s framework for governance and management of enterprise IT. The agreement is in place for a period of three years.

 Launched in April 2012, COBIT 5 helps enterprises maximize the value of their information—the currency of the 21st century. COBIT 5 publications have been downloaded more than 70,000 times in the four months since its release.

Leading Vendor of Endpoint Cybercrime Prevention Solutions Names Industry Veteran to Manage in-Country Operations

Integration of industry-leading DPI technology and high-performance network adapters greatly eases OEM development of application-aware security capabilities

 Vineyard Networks and Napatech today announced the coming demonstration of 20 Gbps Deep Packet Inspection (DPI)-enabled intelligent network analysis adapters at the eighth annual Government Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (GFirst) National Conference, being held August 19 through 24 in Atlanta. Commenting on the new Ponemon report - entitled `Encryption in the cloud' - Varonis Systems agrees with the governance points raised, noting that, whilst the cloud brings with it a wealth of tangible economic and operational benefits, it also brings more than a few security conundrums.  David Gibson, VP of strategy with Varonis, says that the report confirms many of the security shortcomings of the cloud, although it is fascinating to see how a growing number of organisations are grasping the nettle - and tackling these shortcomings head on.
