Waldron Energy Announces Successful Well Results

Waldron Energy Corporation (TSX:WDN) ("Waldron" or the "Corporation") is pleased to announce that its Strachan 7-29-37-8W5 well has been completed and has tested at 6.2 MMcf per day plus expected liquids of 30 - 40 bbls/mmcf out of the Ellerslie and Glauconite formations. The 100% interest well is expected to be on production by the end of March 2011. Additionally, the Corporation has drilled and logged the Ricinus 12-11-36-9W5 well (the "12-11 well") and will be casing the well as a 100% interest Ellerslie well. The 12-11 well is expected to finish completion operations within the next two weeks. Waldron is also currently deepening an existing wellbore at Strachan 14- 30 -37-8W5 (the"14-30 well") targeting the Ellerslie with an 83% working interest. The deepening and completion operations at the 14-30 well are expected to be finished by mid March 2011. All three wells are vertical wells and are expected to be placed on production by March 31, 2011.

Vancouver, B.C. - February 16, 2011 (Investorideas.com energy newswire) - Canadian listed, New Zealand oil and gas producer TAG Oil Ltd. (TSX-V: TAO), reports that the Company is now commencing an aggressive drilling campaign targeting the shallow formations at the 100%-controlled Cheal oil and gas field. The Cheal discoveries are located in the lightly explored Petroleum Mining Permit 38156 in the onshore Taranaki Basin, New Zealand.

 

Following on from TAG's initial multi-zone Cheal discoveries, which are currently producing light oil and gas from the main producing Mt. Messenger Formation (~1800m) as well as the Urenui Formation (~1400m), Cheal-B4ST is the first of several "step-out" wells targeting these proven, producing zones in the Cheal discovery area. Cheal-B4ST will re-enter the suspended Cheal-B4 well, which previously recorded strong oil shows.

CALGARY, ALBERTA - February 14, 2011 (Investorideas.com energy stocks newswire)  Aroway Minerals Inc. (TSX-V:ARW; PINK:ARWJF) (www.arowayenergy.com) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that the Company and its joint venture partner ("Partner") have entered into a rolling farmout agreement ("Agreement") with a private oil and gas company (the "Farmor") with access to 29 sections, of 3D seismically defined land (the "Lands") located within the Company's and its Partner's core area of interest in the Peace River Arch area of Northern Alberta.

 

The terms of the agreement commit the Partnership to drill 1 well on the Farmor's Lands before February 28, 2011, and a second well on the Lands before August 1st, 2011.

Ivanhoe Energy Announces Testing of Xu-5 Formation at Zitong-1 Well in China to Commence

David Dyck, President and Chief Operating Officer of Ivanhoe Energy Inc. (TSX: IE, NASDAQ: IVAN) and Gerald Moench, President of Sunwing Energy Ltd., announced today that following the Chinese New Year holiday, Sunwing Energy has resumed site operations at its Zitong-1 well and is preparing to perforate and test the Xu-5 Formation. Test results are expected before the end of February.

Sunwing is the operator of the 659,840-acre (1,031 square miles) Zitong exploration block in Sichuan, and holds a 90% interest in a Petroleum Contract with PetroChina Company Limited. Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company of Japan holds the remaining 10% interest.
