Passport Energy Ltd. Announces Successful Drilling of the Development Well in the Hardy Field (Bakken Formation), Southeast Saskatchewan

 Passport Energy Ltd. (PPO - CNSX), is pleased to announce that in conjunction with its partners American Eagle Inc. and Eternal Energy Corp. has successfully completed drilling and casing its Hardy S 1A4-16-4B4-9-04-21W2 well (the "Hardy 4-16 well") ahead of schedule. The Bakken formation well was drilled to a vertical depth of approximately 3,504 meters and extended horizontally for approximately 1,320 meters, and is located approximately one-half mile west of the closest producing horizontal Bakken well in the Hardy field. The initial drilling was completed in 18 days instead of 21 days, as originally anticipated. The Company expects to complete a 29-stage fracture stimulation of the well later this month.

WesternZagros Completes Initial Testing at Sarqala-1 Discovery With Oil Flow of Over 9,000 Barrels Per Day

WesternZagros Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:WZR) ("WesternZagros" or "the Company") has successfully completed the initial testing of the oil discovery made in the Jeribe Formation of the Sarqala-1 well. The Company tested the well at rates up to 9,444 barrels per day of 40 degrees API oil. This rate was reached after flowing and stabilizing the well at progressively bigger choke sizes until reaching the limits of the surface equipment. The final rate was achieved on a 52/64" choke with a wellhead pressure of 2,475 psi. No water was produced during this initial testing program. No stimulation was applied to the well, however, there remains the potential to do so at a later date.

The NOS122 well is located at the Company's North Oklahoma Project. The production test and evaluation phase has been ongoing over the past few weeks with high gravity light oil produced to the storage tank from a 6 foot pay zone. The oil cut has been steadily over 90% with some associated gas. The well has been producing oil at rates in a broad range generally between 50 and 70 barrels per day.
