Junex Finishes Drilling the St-Antoine-sur-Richelieu #1 Well and Gives an Update on its Lowlands Exploration Program

Junex (TSX VENTURE: JNX) is pleased to provide information regarding the progress of its 2008-2009 exploration program. This $10 million program, whose principal goal is to evaluate the natural gas potential of the Lorraine and Utica formations Shales as well as the natural gas potential of the Trenton / Black River carbonates on Junex\'s lands in the Saint Lawrence Lowlands, includes the drilling of 5 to 7 exploration wells, the acquisition of about 200 line-kilometers of 2D seismic data, acquisition of high-resolution aeromagnetic data and the analysis of the geological characteristics of the Lorraine and Utica Shales. The Company\'s goal in these activities is to add value to its asset base where it holds rights at 100% working interest.

Heritage Oil announces record test results of 14,364 bopd for the Kingfisher-2 well in Uganda

Heritage Oil Limited (LSE: HOIL), an independent upstream exploration and production company, announces successful tests of all three reservoir intervals in the Kingfisher-2 well in Block 3A, Uganda.

Highlights

- Three reservoirs produced at a cumulative flow rate of 14,364 bopd. Rates were constrained by surface test equipment

Enhanced Oil Resources, Inc. Announces Start-Up of CO(2) Injection at Milnesand (San Andres) Unit, Roosevelt County, New Mexico

Enhanced Oil Resources, Inc. (TSX-V: EOR) today announced that CO(2) injection at the Company\'s wholly owned Milnesand (San Andres) Unit oil field located in Roosevelt County, New Mexico commenced on August 25, 2008 and over the last 7 days injection has stabilized at a daily rate of approximately 0.4 million cubic feet per day (mmcfpd).

As previously announced, the Milnesand (San Andres) Unit covers 5,000 acres in a 5,500 acre mature oilfield that is currently producing approximately 70 barrels of oil per day and has produced approximately 12 million barrels of oil to date, leading to only 13% recovery of the original 95 million barrels of oil in place. The Company\'s independent EOR consultants, Advanced Resources International (ARI), completed a proprietary screening study of the field for the Company and in a report dated March 19, 2007 has estimated that the field could recover an additional 18 million barrels of oil using state-of-the-art CO(2) injection processes.

Petrominerales Announces Majority Shareholder Participation in Normal Course Issuer Bid

Petrominerales Ltd. (\"Petrominerales\" or the \"Company\") (TSX:PMG), is pleased to announce that Petrobank Energy and Resources Ltd. (\"Petrobank\"), the holder of 76.2% of Petrominerales\' shares, though its wholly-owned subsidiary Petro International Ltd. (\"Petro International\"), will sell some of its Petrominerales shares to Petrominerales outside the provisions of, but concurrently with, the previously announced normal course issuer bid (\"NCIB\").

Petrominerales shall not be permitted to make purchases from Petro International on any trading day unless it has purchased Petrominerales shares from other shareholders that trading day pursuant to the NCIB. The number of Petrominerales shares which Petrominerales may purchase from Petro International on any given trading day cannot exceed the number of Petrominerales shares that were purchased on that trading day from the public.
