 Berkshire (UK),15th June 2011: A study, conducted by SecurEnvoy – the global leader of tokenless two-factor authentication, has revealed that 82 percent more people are working from home this year than they did last year. Digging a little deeper reveals 66 percent of the sample blamed the record high in petrol prices for this trend. When examining whether any security measures would be required to allow these remote workers to connect to the network, 91 percent will be using two factor authentication.   When looking at some of the technological advancements fuelling the ability to work remotely, 64 percent believed iPads and other tablet computers will drive remote access.

Trusteer have uncovered a SpyEye configuration that targets users of two leading European airline travel Web sites: Air Berlin, the second largest airline in Germany (after Lufthansa) and AirPlus, the global provider of business travel services for companies. SpyEye exploits the user’s machine, not the websites, to carry out this fraud.

According to Amit Klein, CTO of Trusteer, “The attack subjects are far from randomly selected, but are, we believe, carefully chosen for their criminal revenue potential. One site accepts debit card payments, while the other caters to business users.”

 London, 15th June 2011 - Co-operative Financial Services (CFS) has launched a new free service that protects its customers against the threat of online attacks from fraudsters and cyber criminals. 

 The service called ‘Trusteer Rapport’ provides customers with additional protection for their personal information when they use their computer to access their bank account online.

 

Rapport will also warn customers of further risks such as phishing attacks; prevent Trojans from capturing their details and inhibit any interference with online communications.
