Potash North Engages Boyd Petro Search for 2D Survey
Potash North Resource Corporation (\"Potash North\" or the \"Company\") (TSX VENTURE:PON) has retained Boyd Petro Search (\"Boyd\") of Calgary, Alberta to conduct a 2D seismic survey of the KP 416 and KP 417 permit areas (the \"Permit Area\").
The Technical Report (filed on Sedar July 7, 2008) recommends that in order to obtain an estimate of the potash potential of the Permit Area a 2D seismic survey be conducted followed by local 3D seismic surveys and selected drilling to investigate the continuity of the deposit by identifying portions of the ground that may contain anomalies that affect potash mineralization. While drill holes offer a valuable vertical profile through the Prairie Evaporite Formation, drill holes alone do not provide information as to the lateral extent of the potash beds or any anomalies affecting them. For this purpose, reflection seismic surveys offer the possibility to map the lateral extent of any anomalies related to large-scale alteration of the Prairie Evaporite Formation.
