Automated payments from Telephonetics VIP begins self service initiative to improve citizen experience at Reigate and Banstead Borough Council

24th July 2008, Hemel Hempstead - Reigate and Banstead Borough Council has chosen a speech self service solution from Telephonetics VIP, the speech recognition and voice automation specialist, to automate payment transactions through its contact centre.

Reigate and Banstead Borough Council serves around 127,000 residents living in approximately 53,000 properties.

Initially the Council will be implementing the speech self service technology from Telephonetics VIP to process payment transactions such as parking fines or council tax.

Roche starts acquisition process of ARIUS to gain access to new screening platform for antibody therapeutics

Roche (SWX: ROG) and ARIUS Research Inc. (TSX:ARI) today announced that the two companies have signed a definitive agreement for Roche to acquire ARIUS in an all-cash transaction at a price of approximately C$191 million. ARIUS is the developer of a proprietary antibody platform called FunctionFIRST(TM), which rapidly identifies and selects antibodies based on their functional ability to affect disease before progressing into clinical development. The FunctionFIRST(TM) platform will allow Roche to further strengthen its developmental portfolio, initially within the areas of oncology and inflammatory diseases where this new technique offers potentially broad therapeutic applications.

Underworld Makes New Yukon Gold Discovery: 9.4 g/t Au Over 5.7 Meters and 4.6 g/t Au Over 16.6 Meters

Underworld Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: UW) is pleased to announce initial assay results from 100% owned White Gold and Black Fox Gold Projects, in the Yukon Territory, Canada. The diamond drill program is still underway and additional assay results are expected shortly.

Drill hole WD-004 intersected 4.03 g/t Au over 19.58 meters, from 12.99 meters, including 9.43 g/t Au over 5.76 meters. Drill hole WD-005 intersected 4.58 g/t Au over 16.61 meters, from 14.74 meters, including 11.62 g/t Au over 5.13 meters and including 19.14 g/t Au over 2.65 meters. These initial discovery holes at the Golden Saddle Prospect encountered a shallow dipping quartz breccia vein associated with a thrust fault. The assays are from priority samples of quartz breccia containing visible gold from the upper part of each hole.

Drilling Underway on Petrostar\'s First Bakken Well in SE Saskatchewan

Petrostar Petroleum Corporation (TSX VENTURE: PEP)(FRANKFURT: LMQ)(\"Petrostar\" or the \"Company\") announces that it has initiated drilling of its first Bakken Well.

The first well will be drilled to a depth of approximately 900m-1,000m. The drilling is being conducted by Terroco Drilling Ltd. The next planned drilling location is approximately 4 miles from the current well site and all surveys and permits for the 2 additional wells to be drilled from this location have been received and the drilling will commence immediately after the initial well is completed. More information will be available as drilling progresses.

Petrostar Petroleum Corp. will drill the 3 initial wells in what it believes are 3 new pools of Bakken Oil in SE Saskatchewan. The drilling program on the first 3 wells is being conducted under the JV with LSRS as announced on June 2, 2008.
