Augusta Receives Major Permit for Rosemont Copper

Augusta Resource Corporation (TSX: AZC) (NYSE Amex: AZC) ("Augusta" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality ("ADEQ") has issued the Aquifer Protection Permit ("APP") for its Rosemont Copper project ("Rosemont").  The APP establishes the operating standards and controls to ensure the protection of ground water and is effective for the life of the mine.

Rosemont has now received six major permits required to commence construction.  Other major permits include the Air Quality Permit and the Clean Water Act Section 404 Permit, which the Company expects to receive later in the second quarter or in the third quarter of 2012 as well as the Record of Decision ("ROD") on the Plan of Operations from the U.S. Forest Service ("USFS").

Fancamp Announces Resource Estimate of High-Grade Specular Hematite/Magnetite-Rich Iron Zones at 17.5% Owned Moire Lake Project

Fancamp Exploration Ltd. (TSX-V: FNC.V ) is pleased to announce that Champion Minerals Inc. (the "Operator") has provided results of a mineral resource estimate completed on the Moire Lake project located in cluster 1 of the Fermont iron holdings in northeastern Quebec, owned 82.5% by Champion and 17.5% by Fancamp. The property is situated immediately east of ArcelorMittal's Mont Wright mine and is eight kilometres south of existing railway and other infrastructure.

Pershimco Intercepts 41 Meters of 1.17% Copper in the Deepest Portion of a 200 Meter Hole Grading 0.44g/t Gold on LaPava

PERSHIMCO RESOURCES INC. (the "Company" or "Pershimco") (TSX VENTURE:PRO)(FRANKFURT:BIZ) is pleased to announce recent drilling results of its on-going campaign with 41 meters of sulfides at 1.17% Cu on LaPava including 13 meters of 3.06% Cu and 0.92g/t Au. This copper intercept is located within a wider gold interval extending 200 meters from the surface and grading 0.44g/t in hole PDH11011. Gold and silver mineralization is present at depth within the copper mineralization.

Nevada Copper Intersects 9.08% Copper in Open Pittable North Deposit

Six drill holes have been recently completed in the North Deposit. Drill hole NC12-03 drilled along the deposit's south border intersected high grade mineralization outside the open pit limits as outlined in the recently published Feasibility Study, intersecting 122.7 feet (37.4 meters) true thickness grading 3.96% copper, 0.384 grams/tonne gold, and 14.2 grams/tonne silver. Included within this zone is a higher grade intercept of 33.8 feet (10.3 meters) true thickness grading 9.08% copper, 0.764 grams/tonne gold, and 29.4 grams/tonne silver. In view of these positive results, follow up drilling is already in progress.
